How to see all your Google reviews (and manage them)

Looking for the reviews you've left on Google? Or do you want to check all the reviews your business has received? In both cases, Google doesn't make it as simple as you'd hope.

This guide shows you exactly where to find your Google reviews, whether you're on desktop, Android, or iPhone, and how to manage them effectively on a daily basis.

Conseil Reputacion

Reputacion centralizes all your Google reviews (and soon other platforms) in a single dashboard. No more juggling between Google Search, Maps, and Business Profile: everything is in one place, with filters, alerts, and built-in response tools.

See the reviews YOU have left

Have you left reviews for restaurants, shops, or service providers and want to find them again? Here's how to access the history of all your Google reviews.

On desktop (Google Maps)

Step 1: Open Google Maps (maps.google.com) and sign in to your Google account.

Step 2: Click on the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines) in the top left.

Step 3: Select "Your contributions".

Step 4: Click on the "Reviews" tab.

You'll see the complete list of all the reviews you've left, sorted from most recent to oldest. You can click on each review to edit or delete it.

On Android

Step 1: Open the Google Maps app on your phone.

Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the top right.

Step 3: Select "Your profile".

Step 4: Scroll down to the "Reviews" section or tap "See all reviews".

You'll access all your contributions. From there, you can change the rating, edit the text, or delete a review.

On iPhone

Step 1: Open the Google Maps app.

Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the top right.

Step 3: Select "Your profile".

Step 4: Tap "Reviews" to see all your reviews.

The navigation is identical to Android. You can manage your reviews directly from the app.

See the reviews your business has received

If you're a business owner, you have several ways to view the reviews left by your customers.

Via Google Search ("my business")

This is the quickest method if you're signed in to the Google account associated with your listing.

Step 1: Go to Google.com and make sure you're signed in to your Google account.

Step 2: Type your business name or simply "my business" in the search bar.

Step 3: Your business listing appears with a management panel. Click on "View reviews" or on the number of reviews displayed.

You can read all reviews and respond to them directly from this interface.

Via Google Maps

Step 1: Open Google Maps and search for your business.

Step 2: Click on your listing in the results.

Step 3: Scroll down to the "Reviews" section to see all your customer comments.

This method shows you the reviews as your potential customers see them.

Via Google Business Profile (listing manager)

For more comprehensive management, use the interface dedicated to professionals.

Step 1: Go to business.google.com and sign in.

Step 2: Select your business if you manage multiple locations.

Step 3: In the left menu, click on "Reviews".

This interface lets you see all your reviews, respond to them, and access statistics on your average rating and how your reviews have evolved over time.

Attention

The problem with Google Business Profile? That's all it does: manage your Google listing. If you want to collect more reviews, automate responses, or track your overall reputation, you need to use other tools alongside it.

The limits of Google for managing your reviews

Google lets you see your reviews, but the interface is limited for professional day-to-day management.

No real-time notifications

Google Business Profile can send you emails when you receive a review, but these notifications are unreliable and often delayed. You might miss a negative review for several days.

No built-in review collection

Google shows you the reviews you've received, but doesn't help you get more. No automatic SMS, no follow-up email, no personalized collection link.

No response assistance

You have to write each response manually, without templates or suggestions. For a business receiving dozens of reviews per month, this is time-consuming.

Impossible to centralize multiple platforms

If you have reviews on Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor, or other platforms, you have to juggle between multiple interfaces to track everything.

One platform to manage it all

Reputacion centralizes your Google reviews in an intuitive dashboard. Instant notifications, one-click AI responses, automated SMS collection, detailed statistics. Everything Google Business Profile doesn't do.

How to sort reviews by date

By default, Google displays reviews by "relevance", an opaque criterion that mixes recent reviews, detailed reviews, and reviews with responses. Here's how to see the most recent reviews.

On Google Maps (customer view)

Step 1: Access your listing on Google Maps.

Step 2: Click on the "Reviews" section.

Step 3: Look for the "Sort by" dropdown menu (usually displayed as "Most relevant").

Step 4: Select "Newest".

You'll now see reviews in chronological order, from most recent to oldest.

On Google Business Profile

In the professional interface, you can also sort by date, by rating (highest to lowest or vice versa), or filter reviews you haven't responded to yet.

This is handy for quickly identifying recent reviews that need a response.

Conseil Reputacion

On Reputacion, you can sort your reviews by date, rating, status (responded or not), and even filter by keywords. You identify in seconds which reviews need your attention.

Finding a missing review

Did you have a positive review that suddenly disappeared? Or did a customer tell you they left a review that you can't see? Several reasons can explain this phenomenon.

Why a review can disappear

Filtered by Google. Google uses anti-spam algorithms that can hold certain reviews for verification. The review may appear a few days later, or be permanently filtered if Google deems it suspicious.

Deleted by the author. The review author can decide to delete or edit it at any time.

Removed by Google. If the review violates Google's rules (spam, inappropriate content, conflict of interest), it can be removed without notice.

Google account deleted. If the author deletes their Google account, all their reviews disappear with it.

Display bug. Sometimes it's simply a temporary technical issue. The review may reappear after a few hours or days.

How to find a filtered review

If a customer confirms they left a review that you can't see, ask them to check their history (Your contributions > Reviews). If the review appears on their end but not on your listing, it's probably being moderated by Google.

Unfortunately, there's no way to force Google to display a filtered review. The only solution is to wait, usually a few days to a week.

Exporting your Google reviews

Want to back up your reviews or analyze them in a spreadsheet? Here are your options.

Download your data via Google Takeout

Google Takeout lets you export all your Google data, including the reviews you've left.

Step 1: Go to takeout.google.com.

Step 2: Deselect everything, then check only "Maps (Your places)".

Step 3: Click "Next step" then "Create export".

Step 4: Wait for Google to prepare your archive (can take a few hours).

You'll receive a file containing your reviews in JSON format, which you can then convert to Excel or CSV.

Attention

Google Takeout only exports reviews that YOU have left. There's no native function to export reviews your business has received. For that, you need a third-party tool.

Exporting your business reviews

To export reviews your business has received, Google doesn't offer a native solution. You need to use a third-party tool.

Several solutions exist on the market. Some are limited to export, others offer complete reputation management features.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see who left an anonymous review?

No. If a user has configured their Google account to display a pseudonym or partial name, you cannot see their full identity. Google protects its users' privacy.

Are my reviews visible to everyone?

By default, yes. The reviews you leave are public and associated with your Google account. Anyone can see your review history by clicking on your profile. You can change your privacy settings to hide your history, but individual reviews will still be visible on business listings.

How long are Google reviews kept?

Google reviews are kept indefinitely, unless they're deleted by the author, by Google following a report, or if the author's account is deleted.

Can I see reviews I've left even if I deleted them?

No. Once a review is deleted, it's gone permanently. Neither you nor the business can recover it. If you want to keep a record of your reviews, export them via Google Takeout before deleting them.
